Why Did Columbia Play Dirty?

It's been argued that Columbia played dirty in their game against England in the final 16 round of the 2018 Football World Cup. I have even heard some say that they should be banned from world football forever as a result of their actions during that game. Others say that they are the very worst type of role models for other teams and the millions of aspiring footballers the world over.
Well, I have to say that having watched most of this game, except for the bits when I fell asleep out of boredom, there wasn't much to chose between the two teams. Okay Columbia got six bookings, but the Ingerland also had a booking, I also saw Ingerland players headbutting, pushing and tripping Columbia players. No to mention the constant rolling on the floor pretending to be injured to try and win a free kick, which is cheating let's not forget that, or at the very least a pathetic attempt to manipulate the game by false means.
So why did the Columbians play dirty, or should I say dirtier than Ingerland, and I think the answer lies with something said above and its to do with role models. Yes, Columbia may well be bad role models, but let's look at who could be their role models, who do they aspire too. I am guessing here, but as professional footballers, I suspect they may have as a role model someone who has won the world player of the year award. Maybe someone who has won it five times and three of those in consecutive years. Someone like Ronaldo for example.
Ronaldo has been the voted the worlds best footballer five time that is true and I find that amazing. It's amazing because on the pitch he is aggressive towards other players and the number of yellow and red cards support that. He is also abusive, aggressive and violent towards the refs, even to the extent of pushing one ref from the back. He shows little or no respect for authority and those charged with trying to make something out of this game called football.
It's true that just like most footballers tactics Ronaldo's actions are more handbags at dawn than actual physical violence, but that doesn't matter. If the Columbians should be banned for life, then so should their role models and Ronaldo should be top of the list. His actions and the fact he keeps being voted the best in the world seems to endorse disrespect and violence by footballers.
Ronald is certainly not the acceptable face of football or even an ordinary face of football and he is far from a role model to anyone other than maybe the Columbians. Wait I hear football fans shout, what about all his charity work, he is a saint isn't he. Well I don't know, should his activities off the pitch make him the world player of the year, five times? But whilst we are on the subject, where is the evidence that he does all this charity work. I haven't looked very hard accepted, but I can find no record and by that, I mean hard evidence of his charity work. But if he does do it there could be lots of reasons why and massive tax benefits are one. Then there is an attempt to try and boost his profile beyond the on-pitch bad boy.
So Ronaldo shows no respect for authority and seems to like getting a tax break, which goes some way to explain why he is a massive tax dodger and currently owes about 14 million Euros to the Spanish taxman. So if he does get voted top football because of his off-pitch activities, then maybe football is also saying its good to dodge taxes.
No, let's get real, Columbian do not need to be banned for life, they are no worse than any other top-flight professional footballer. whilst we are on the subject of getting real I think we had better start getting used to the fact that "football ain't coming home".
